While it will vary according to the nature and complexity of the business to be franchised, it is prudent to allow 7 or 8 months. It is possible to do it in a shorter period but expectations to do it in 3 to 4 months are totally unrealistic.

The first Phase of our Franchise Development Program is strategic planning, where based on your historical unit(s) performance, we develop forecasts using our proprietary forecasting models, developed over more than 20 years, to show what returns new franchisors and their franchisees can reasonably expect.
-
Yes. This is built into our consulting. As we learn more about your business, we will continuously be making recommendations that are intended to accrue to and directly benefit you and your emerging network of franchisees.
-
We assign at least four Senior Consultants to each new client and because they each specialize in one area of franchise development, they do most of the work. Your time commitment is limited to meetings at the unit/business model to be franchised, providing documents to us and telephone/zoom calls as needed. All of our consultants are available 24/7 by cell phone to answer any questions.

Existing fast-food concepts only account for 32% of franchising. That is why there are also so many new non-food companies that regularly contact us to explore the viability of franchising their business. Most new non-food concepts we franchise require a lower investment than do most in food related concepts.

This is your most important source of revenue and what creates the most value for your company. Franchisees typically pay between 4-10% of their revenue, depending on the type of business and do this for the full term of your franchise agreement, typically ten years plus extensions. Royalties are paid to you weekly and are automatically withdrawn from your franchisees bank account.
-
We are unique in recommending approaches suitable for your concept that most franchisors do not understand or employ on an ongoing basis. The continuous promotion of your name is essential and we help you structure methods to have this funded for you.

Many of our clients are located in the Pacific Northwest as well as in the greater Los Angeles, Northern California and Southern California areas. This allows easy travel for client meetings and for us to take advantage of our long-time knowledge of this area to the benefit of our clients when they start to sell franchises. Franchise consulting firms from other parts of the US will often use an LA telephone number to falsely suggest that they are LA based. We have been servicing this vital market for over 35 years.

To save you time and money if your company is not suitable for franchising. Our Senior Consultants can take you through our professionally developed check list to determine possibilities. We can clearly advise those whose business does not meet the necessary criteria for franchising, and why, just as we can tell those who appear to have a viable franchise concept how we will further support and validate our initial findings. It’s a win/win for any company thinking about franchising.

Many opportunities will exist depending of course on your revenue and profit numbers and the nature of your business. It is unlikely you would consider this in fewer than 3 years and maybe longer to maximize your payout. But the good news is that today there are an increasing number of entities with abundant capital resources that are aggressively acquiring all or parts of an attractive and profitable franchise company.
Many franchisors today are partly or wholly owned by private equity firms, larger franchisors or trading in public markets. Our long-time experience in franchising allows us to refer franchisors to various sources of capital that are part of our network.

Our fees are on the moderate side of other legitimate consulting firms, but most important, for qualified companies, fees are paid primarily on a pay as you go basis after a reasonable initial payment. In setting our consulting fees, your business model and history are factors we consider.
